FAQs

How do I attach vinyl labels?

Step 1 - Clean the surface with water to remove any residue or dust (don't use soap or other cleaning products as this may leave a residue)
Step 2 - Make sure the item you are labelling is stable to help you apply the label. For round items like mugs or vases, carefully wedge them at either side with something to stop them from rolling around.
Step 3 - Rub across the top of the label to ensure the label is attached to the transfer tape (top layer)
Step 4 - Gently peel away the backing paper leaving the label attached to the transfer tape. As you peel the backing paper away, ensure all parts of the label are attached to the transfer tape. If any part of the label has remained attached to the backing paper, reattach the backing paper and return to step 3.
Step 5 - Carefully position the label on the surface. If the transfer tape has grid lines on it, please ignore them when lining up the label as they are not guaranteed to be parallel with your label. Once you have gently placed the label in position, starting from the middle and working outwards, use a credit card or press firmly with your fingers to remove any air bubbles and firmly attach the label.
Step 6 - Peel back the transfer tape carefully, ensuring that all parts of the label on attached to the surface and not the tape. If any part is still attached to the transfer tape, reapply the transfer tape to the label and return to step 5
Step 7 - Enjoy!

How do I wash items with vinyl labels on them?

Please don't put items with vinyl labels in the dishwasher or washing machine. We recommend gently hand washing only.

Will vinyl labels stick to any surface?

Vinyl labels will stick to hard, smooth surfaces. We can not guarantee they will stick to uneven/textured surfaces, fabric or heated surfaces (such as radiators)

Are vinyl labels suitable for outdoor use?

Yes! You can use permanent (glossy) vinyl for outdoor use. It's ideal for projects that need to be weatherproof. Removable (matte) vinyl should only be used indoors as it doesn't have a water resistant film.
